I am pleased to introduce Ray Lokar as a guest writer to The Athlete’s Sports Experience. As an experienced coach, and a lead trainer for the Positive Coaching Alliance, he brings a vast wealth of knowledge and experience to my blog here at ChicagoNow. Coached his children Shawn, Heather, and Brittany throughout their participation in youth and high school sports and they each went on to compete at the college level. Enjoyed it so much he is doing it all over with his young son, Tyler.
In addition, to have a member of the PCA organization willing to add valuable expertise to this site is exciting as they are one group that truly “gets” what it’s all about. Supported by former Chicago Bulls and current Los Angeles Lakers coach Phil Jackson, they fully encourage “winning” as an outcome while emphasizing the more important goal of teaching valuable “life Lessons.” Their Double-Goal Coaches® programs, workshops which cultivate Second-Goal ParentsTM, and emphasis on creating what they call Triple-Impact CompetitorsTM is spot on as they place importance in all three dimensions.
Make no mistake, this is one organization that CAN and DOES make a difference.
Please join me in welcoming Ray to The Athlete’s Sports Experience. Look for his articles and various pieces throughout the coming weeks and months. You will not want to miss them!!!
