The Black Social Network staged play (opening at The Producers Club in New York during Social Media Week NYC), follows two business women whose lives are torn apart by their social media habits. Eva James, portrayed by WGCI on-air personality Demi Lobo, is a public relations powerhouse who ignores social media; and on the opposite end of the spectrum, Jasmine Bellows, portrayed by Six Brown Chicks’ A Comeaux, is a small business owner, who lives her personal life online.
The Black Social Network is an artistic performance/interactive discussion that demonstrate the impact of solid social media strategy on business and the pitfalls of ignoring your online reputation. After New York, the play will head to several campus colleges across the U.S.
