I’m pretty certain I can find he best ice cream shop in any town. Maybe it was the beautiful weather, maybe it was watching 6 hours of baseball- whatever the reason- today was a double scoop kind of day! Good thing we found Cool Creations!
Located in historic Lockport, Cool Creations is a 1950’s style ice cream shop within a 1850’s building.
Take your pick from cones, sundaes, malts, frozen bananas, ice cream sandwiches, and more. Yes, it’s impossible to decide!
My son finally decided on Firecracker (strawberry ice cream with pop rocks) and Kryptonite (though he considered Superman instead!); I chose apple pie (it was a tough decision over blackberry); and my daughter went with cotton candy.
Of course, there are more common flavors like moose tracks, mint chip, and caramel explosion too.
They also make homemade cookies that you can purchase separately or as ice cream sandwiches (I didn’t see those, though, until after I ordered my cone).
Although they’re under relatively new ownership, I couldn’t find any information on the new owners. I did see some reviews stating that they only take cash- not the case. That must have changed with the new owners, because I had no problem using a credit card today.
What’s your all-time favorite flavor of ice cream?
