Day 128: Wicked Good Cafe

Thank God! I have finally found a coffee shop! It’s not that I go out for coffee often, I just like to have the option. Sure you can just run in and grab a cup of coffee, but you’ll want to have a sandwich and stay to chat for a while. This isn’t just a cafe, it’s a

Without this challenge, I probably wouldn’t have found Wicked Good Cafe since I’m not in this area often, but I’ll definitely be back. Yes, you can pick up a cup of coffee virtually anywhere, but Wicked Good is more than a shop; it feels like you’re sitting in a friend’s kitchen.

I love the eclectic mix of tables, it’s not like you’re just trying to find a seat to sit in, but which table feels most like home. There’s even one table I would love to have in my home!
Hungry too? No pre-made deli case lunches here; everything is made to order. I had the veggie quesadilla, but the wraps, salads, and Mass. Ave. Mac n’ Cheese sounded great too.

Obviously Wicked Good Cafe has an East Coast influence. Owners Rick and his wife have family roots in New England; Rick, however, grew up in Iowa (familiar with the Quad City area? check out the description of the Popham Panini!).

They’ve owned Wicked for about a year, but are already making a connection with the community: you’ll find live music, open mic night, even small recitals.

Next time you’re meeting a friend or want a cup of joe at a home away from home, skip the drive-thru and head to Wicked Good Cafe.
