I won’t share the bulk of my photos because then why would you go? But, I will show you my favorite photo in the exhibit. It is of this awesome blue wall and collection of garden junk in a backyard garden in Wicker Park. I forgot to make note of the photographer and gardener, sorry.
Visit the exhibit and explore the history of Chicago’s gardens, both public and private and see other artwork inspired by nature. Chicago Gardens: Past and Present is open from 10AM-6PM until August 16th. It is located at the Chicago Tourism Center, 72 E. Randolph Street, across from the Chicago Cultural Center and admission is free.
I left a message on the tree. Let me know if you find it.

Looks like a fascinating exhibit. It's not often that anyone can boast about Detroit, so please indulge me: Garden junk? Oh Pleez! Check out the Heidelberg Project in Detroit if you want junk art outdoors! http://www.heidelberg.org/video.html :)
Garden Faerie,
You mean the video on "20 years of community art?" That's pretty cool. Thanks for sharing it.
I was very close to walking over there and missing my train last Saturday - wish I had!
I had forgotten about it when I left you at the station. Should have said something I would've gone with ya. If we end up meeting with OLA on the first maybe you can still catch it.
Drat, I'll miss it if I can't visit until September! Love the Cultural Center, and everything about it. The building, displays, exhibitions & concerts - I heard a super Indian music presentation as part of New Music festival a few years ago.
