The city of New Orleans, the Saints, and the New Orleans Museum of Art are all winners after Sunday’s Super Bowl.
As a result of a wager agreed on by the Indianapolis Museum of Art and the New Orleans Museum of Art, and as winning team of the Super Bowl, the New Orleans Museum of Art will receive Indianapolis’ large Joseph M.W. Turner painting, The Fifth Plague of Egypt (1800, seen below) for a three-month loan. And last week, I reflected on sports and art and how each builds community. Congratulations to New Orleans and the Saints! Enjoy your new Turner, it looks magnificent.

Did EVERYONE wager on the game?!? Wow! An Indy DJ had to dress up like a true Saints fan (facepaint and beads and all) because Indy lost. The pics that the NOLA DJ posted are priceless!
Laissez les bons temps rouler!!! Black and gold won the Superbowl!!!
