5 Wild Chicago Easter Activities You Can Still "Hop" In On

Easter EggsEven though Easter 2013 is this weekend, there is no need to panic if you haven’t made plans for bunny-related activities yet. The weather looks to be warming up, and there is still time to “hop” in on some fun outdoor activities around Chicago. Here are five fun local holiday festivities that you still have time to join in on.

1. Cook County Forest Preserve’s “Eggstravagansa”

The Forest Preserve of Cook County is putting an educational (but still fun!) spin on traditional egg hunts with their “Eggstravagansa” at the Crabtree Nature Center in Barrington. Kids can learn about different types of eggs and then color some of their own with natural egg dyes. Saturday from 1-4, registration required. http://fpdcc.com/events/

2. Cantigny’s Annual Egg Hunt

Cantigny in Wheaton is hosting its annual Egg Hunt. Kids can visit with the Easter bunny, see baby animals and participate in an egg hunt. Saturday starting at 11:00 am, $5 per car admission fee. 3. Brookfield Zoo’s Brunch with the Bunny

On Easter Sunday, families can enjoy brunch with the Easter bunny.  Treat yourself to unlimited champagne while the kids visit with Mr. and Mrs. Bunny. Reservations are required. 4. The Horner Park Doggie Egg Hunt and Bonnet Parade

5. The Annual Prairie Lakes Egg Hunt

The Des Plaines Park District is hosting their annual Easter egg hunt. The event is free with separate egg hunts for ages ranging from 2 to adults.
