Earlier this month, we had the amazing opportunity to check out the new “Family Day” offerings from the Chicago White Sox at U.S. Cellular Field. Bottom line: THIS is family fun.
The new promotion, which is offered on all 13 Sunday home games this season, features seats in Bleacher, Outfield Reserved, Lower Corner and Premium Upper Box sections for $15, Upper Box and Upper Reserved Seats will be available for $10, and Upper Corner tickets will be priced at only $5. Additionally, parking at U.S. Cellular Field parking lots on Family Sundays will be available for $10.
Kids can take advantage of special autograph sessions with current and former White Sox players, as well as White Sox broadcasters (weather permitting), and the opportunity to run the bases after games (this was a real highlight for my three littles).
Even without these Family Day perks, U.S. Cellular Field is simply family-friendly. My kids loved the chance to get up and move around during the game to check out the hands-on activities in the Comcast Fundamentals area of the park. The food was good. The bathrooms were clean. The ticket price was right.
We will definitely be back for another game this year. For more information, visit the official Chicago White Sox website.
