Miracle Weight Loss Soup That IS Delicious

Passover is around the corner and those that observe give away all the food in their home to food banks or the non-Jewish neighbor.  I don’t observe but I use this time to move the stock around and clean the house.  It’s good to clean out the cabinets once a year and restock with fresh supplies of cans and jars.

I have been blogging about my miracle soup that guarantees you weight loss as long as you don’t mix it with sugary goodness that vegans and gluten-free people have to stare at, ogle it, and then walk away knowing full well that in seconds we could devour it up, but we rise above our cravings and eat blah.  That was one mama of a long sentence.

Hence as you read the recipe you will notice that I cleaned the cupboards.

Miracle Weight Loss Soup that is Delicious

1 minced onion and 2 cloves of garlic

2 tbsps. of olive oil (or that bread dipping oil you bought and have never used)

1 jar of your favorite pasta sauce

1 can any size of any tomato product you want to dump in (sauce, paste, crushed etc.)

1 cup of rice

1 cup of lentils

½ cup quinoa

1 can of cranberry sauce (any style will do)

½ cup Nutritional Yeast

½ cup sesame seeds (any kind of seed(s) will do

Any can of any type of bean(s)

4 cups of water

In a large soup pot sauté the onions and garlic until the onions brown a bit.  Then with all the grace you can muster dump the rest of the ingredients in.  Boil and then simmer for 20 minutes.  Feel free to add anything else you need to remove from your home or is about to expire.   Enjoy.

Remember that the GFAF Expo is just 2 weekends away.  If you want to try new foods or meet new people or just want something to do, come on out and see for yourself what is lurking in the gluten-free world.  I will blog about the expo beginning April 13th

I have found lots of gluten-free products this year for Passover.  Don’t tell the Rabbi but I have opened a few packages to try and the Yehuda Crackers are amazing!  Going to have some with my soup.
