I have eaten Passover dessert for over 35 years and never been happy with the flour free cakes or cookies. Finally, I’ve found the best and easiest Passover dessert out there.
You will love Matzah toffee (or some call it Matzah crack) regardless what time of year it is. For the record, I don’t even like Matzah, but this sugary sweet version is undeniably delicious and addicting.
Here is what you need:
-5 pieces of Matzah
-1 stick butter
-1 cup brown sugar
-1 bag semi sweet chocolate chips
-chopped pecans optional
What to do:
Preheat oven to 250. Melt the butter in a saucepan and add brown sugar until in comes to a boil and thickens. Pour over Matzah on a sheet pan covered in foil. Bake for 25 minutes.
Cover with chocolate chips and spread evenly. Put back in oven for 4 minutes. Add salt and chopped pecans if desired. Place in refrigerator for an hour and then crack or cut into pieces.
