Today I took our dog to his awesome vet in our old neighborhood as he recently had his spleen removed. Once he had a good checkup I decided to walk with him down Clark Street to Wrigley Field since I was nearby.
Once we stepped onto the famous corner of Clark and Addison the energy was palpable and the people were very kind. Everyone was taking photos for each other and respecting one another.
A photographer approached us and put a Cubs scarf on my dog and starting taking photos of us. Another local came from behind and started clapping to get the dog’s attention. The crowds were joyful and the autumn weather was ideal.
It was a simple walk that brought my faith back in Chicago.
This is just what Chicago needed.
