Do you consider yourself to be an introvert or extrovert? Do you classify it based on how social you are?
Fast Company shared an interesting perspective based on recharging.
“Introverts (or those of us with introverted tendencies) tend to recharge by spending time alone. They lose energy from being around people for long periods of time, particularly large crowds.”
“Extroverts, on the other hand, gain energy from other people. Extroverts actually find their energy is sapped when they spend too much time alone. They recharge by being social.”
I very much love to be alone and consider myself as an introvert, especially as I’ve gotten older. I used to love parties and social events, but have noticed I now prefer one-on-one meet ups best and often am drained after a loud party or even restaurant.
With that said, I do gain energy from a crowded yoga class and I notice my kids posses qualities of both introverts and extroverts.
Can it be possible that we are all both introverts and extroverts?
