I love to browse Pinterest at the gorgeous and creative kids rooms. I repeatedly feel a tightening in my heart, as I know my girl’s small room and sanctuary can never look as sleek and organized as the ones I admire.
In reality, despite tons of organizers and hours spent placing items in correct places, my first grader’s room most days looks like this.
I would LOVE to frame her artwork and hang, but my strong-willed girl refuses that idea.
She prefers to decorate the walls differently.
I have the control over the rest of the house, and I try very hard to bite my lip and let her room look as she wishes. I think the mess will always bother me, but IT IS HER ROOM.
Do your children’s rooms look how you wish they did? Are you strict about keeping their rooms clean?
