This summer I plan to visit as many of the Chicago Farmer’s Markets that our city has to offer. Little gets me as energized as chatting in the sun with local farmers that proudly share their beautiful vegetables with our community.
I tend to get in a rut and go to the same market every week every summer. There are many benefits to the familiarity of routine, but I figure this is a good time to move beyond comfort and explore some other markets and areas of Chicago.
Here is the list of markets my kids and I will be exploring this summer.
Lincoln Square Farmer’s Market (Tuesdays)
Andersonville Farmer’s Market (Wednesdays)
Green City Market (Wednesdays and Saturdays)
Argyle Night Market (Thursdays)
Daley Plaza Farmer’s Market (Thursdays)
Garfield Park Community Market (Thursdays and Saturdays)
Division Street Farmer’s Market (Saturdays)
Logan Square Farmer’s Market (Sundays)
Wicker Park Farmer’s Market (Sundays)
Any other Chicago Farmer’s Markets that I am missing? I would love to hear your suggestions.
