The past six days have been spent in a warm Southern home filled to the brim with family. It was a treat to watch my kids get dirty and splash in the water soaking up the freedom. I appreciated not feeling pressure to accomplish anything besides getting my kids’ to sleep, and that surely was a major challenge.
Now that I’m home, I have to face the fact that I lost our babysitter days before we embarked on our vacation. The heart of summer is ahead and Paul McCartney at Wrigley Field, Dinner at L2O and BBQs are noted on the calendar. In addition, I actually work a few hours a week.
I’m lost where to search for someone to bring in our lives. I’m looking for a caretaker who will love, teach and inspire my children.
In the past, I’ve used a friend’s kind suggestion, in an attempt to give us a break. That did not end well.
I found a sweet actress from Sittercity, until she chose to follow her dream and move to Los Angeles.
My last sitter I discovered on the Northside Parent Networks Message Boards and the breakup is still too fresh to discuss.
Where do you find your babysitters from?
