Terrorism is Our Fault

ANOTHER ATTACK IN NEW JERSEY thankfully failed and it is obviously our fault. But first, let’s see how we can make this Bush’s, Trump’s or the Republican’s fault. If all else fails, it is White America to blame. Because it could never be Obama’s fault, or worse, something about the Peaceful Political Ideology aka Islam.... Read more »

How to tell the difference between a Jihadi and a Muslim

Jihadi is a colloquial term for Muslims in general, but by definition is someone who participates in Jihad, or Holy War. The most pressing question facing the Nation today is how to tell the difference between someone who is a follower of the religion of Islam and someone who believes it is good, right and... Letter To The Family of Lee Rigby

I know your pain and to the parents, I understand there is no loss like that of a child. Two and a half years ago my son, too, was brutally murdered by Muslim fanatics. Truly, I understand. You have just begun a journey no one ever wants to take. Make no mistake this journey of... Read more »

Ft. Hood and the Presidential Election

Ft. Hood and the Presidential Election
Tomorrow is the third anniversary of the Ft. Hood shooting. It is also Election Day. Are you going to vote for the guy who called it “work place violence”? While both candidates have focused on the national debt, the economy and health care, both sides telling us this election will determine the course of the... Read more »

Religion and Abortion

I would like to have an intelligent, dispassionate conversation on religion and abortion. Yeah, I know I’m asking a lot. Radicalization of the Muslim American Community

Views and opinions from the Gold Star, Military and Veteran perspective are generally different from those of the civilian world. Much of what I write is "their" stories, as told to me as the Gold Star Mother of PFC Andrew Meari, KIA 11/1/10 in Kandahar, Afghanistan. This is how I continue to honor the Oath my son took. I don't like labels or boxes as the former is insufficient to describe a person and the latter limits a person but if you insist, call me a Progressive Republican. I believe in this country, our Constitution and above all, in the rights of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. I believe our government is supposed to serve the people, not tell them how to live. To me, this is just common sense but since it seems to be a minority opinion, it has become "Uncommon Sense".
