Even though Mr. Freezemeister refuses to relinquish his hold on us this winter, Easter is coming! Spring will come! Won’t it? The Marion Street Cheese Market is a great place for not only Easter Brunch, but weekend brunch all 52 weekends of the year. (If you say brunch enough times in a row it starts to sound pre-tty strange.)
Just a few easy steps from the UP West Metra line in Oak Park, this place is the home to fine wines, artisan cheeses, and gourmet chocolates as well.
If the weather ever warms up, you can enjoy your gourmet choices leisurely outside. (Check back with me when it is 100 this summer. I’ll be the one in the air-conditioning. I’m only happy when I’m complainin’.)
And since this is a “cheese” market, it is wise not to pass up the cheese selections like the cheese flights or these cheese puffs…
Did I mention that they have cheese? These puffs, with a friend and 2 beers, make for a perfect afternoon snack.
And if you are not looking for an Easter Brunch, but are looking for things to put in the Easter baskets…here are some books featuring …you guessed it…cheese! Can you believe how many books there are about cheese?
