Black Friday Recap

I attest that Black Friday is still my favorite day of the year. This has become a tradition between my Mom and me which we continued this year. The past two years we have added a stop at Carson’s on Thursday night to hit up their doorbuster deals. This year did not disappoint and here is a little recap of where we went and what we bought:

-Carson’s- doorbusters including a boot rack and some other small electronics.

-Menards- Bluetooth Soundbar, various holiday gifts, and a humidifier/oil diffuser.

-Shops at the Glen including Apricot Lane and Von Maur- no amazing deals and most things were still full price, surprisingly.

-Nordstrom’s Last Call in Yorktown Center- We had heard great things about this clearance center from a family member but unfortunately it did not live up to the hype. If you think that Nordstrom Rack is a lot of work to sort through, this place is even worse. While the Rack has tons of deals and merchandise, this place seems to consist mostly of returns. I was not impressed with the merchandise at all but maybe because it was Summer clothing. In my opinion, it was not worth the trip out to Lombard but I’m glad we got to check it out.

-Final Sale by Marcus Lemonis- I always find cute and reasonable clothes at this store. If you’re unfamiliar, I actually did a previous post about it, here. They were having a 2 for $45 jeans sale. And these are not just any Levi’s, these are expensive jeans like Joe’s Jeans and other high quality brands. It is definitely worth the drive to Highland Park!

I know people are so divided about Black Friday but did you get any great sales on Friday or over the weekend? Let me know in the comments.
