For the uninitiated, Stitch Fix is essentially Netflix for clothes (before it started streaming.) You fill out an extensive profile about your physical features, tastes and wants, and for $20, a stylist sends you a box of 5 clothing items to try on. You have 3 days to decide if you’d like to keep any of the items. You can use the $20 toward purchasing clothing.
It’s addicting, and I try to only do it once a season. I’ve gotten some great pieces, and the best part is not having to shop for all women’s nemesis anymore: blue jeans. They’ve somehow figured out what type of pants fit me absolutely perfectly, and I’d have it no other way.
This is my first time getting a box in the fall. Here’s what they sent me:
Zad Tegan Beaded Leaf Charm Necklace
I’m not sure quite what it is about this necklace that I dislike, but I dislike it. RETURNED
May Pink Harding Cross Back Blouse
I love how easy breezy this blouse feels. I love the back, and I LOVE the colors. However, I feel like the shirt has the potential to be more flattering than it is, especially because the colors (bright pink) aren’t always the best for us gingos. I thought long and hard about this one. RETURNED
Loveappella Marais French Terry Knit Cardigan
I really hate this cardigan. I hate the shape, I hate the colors, and I especially hate the sporty look to it. RETURNED
Renee C Grace Printed Pencil Skirt
I love the colors and pattern on this skirt! And I feel like this look is flattering on me (please tell me if I’m off and there is actually a boob shelf/missing torso epidemic going on). However, the material is quite thin and for $48, I just couldn’t do it. However, I’m thinking this, plus a blazer may be my new go-to look. RETURNED
Just Black Dean Skinny Jean
These fit so perfectly. I have another pair of Just Black pants as well; I wear them ALL the time. It is soooooo nice not to have to go to a bunch of stores to find the perfect jeans; THIS is the reason why I (try not to) feel guilty about spending money on Stitch Fix. I feel like $20 is worth the frustration and time spent looking for some basics that you need, even if the prices are sometimes inflated. KEPT
What do you thing of the items Stitch Fix sent to me? Do you do it? If you’re interested in trying it, please consider using my link. 🙂
