Some good news in the saga of Twisted Hippo, whose Albany Park brewery was destroyed in a fire this past spring.

While they continue to seek out a new space in the same neighborhood, the brewer has reached an agreement to make its brands at the District Brew Yards on Ashland. Production is expected to begin in August.

At the same time, DBY announced they will be opening a second location in Wheeling, at a former Ram Restaurant & Brewery. Twisted Hippo will be contracted out at both locations, along with other brewers Around the Bend, Burnt City, and Casa Humilde. (Josh Noel, Chicago Tribune)

I’ve got some weekend travel lined up, so I’m posting this article and then adding more events as I go along. I’ll then be posting my calendar article for next week on Friday, with more event popping in as I get the time.
