Solemn Oath Brewery, 1661 Quincy Ave. #179, Naperville IL (630) 995-3062 Map
& Solemn Oath Brewery Still Life, 2919 W. Armitage Ave., Chicago  Map
Two old school limited release rockers make their return:
Hand In Hand Into Oblivion was release only once before almost two years ago. This beer is unique in that it is an embarrassingly great saison, a cornerstone of our mixed ferm program Dust Music, and a beer specifically designed for holding hands while riding jet skis with your buddies into the sunset. Available for pre-order right now and for pickup at the brewery and taproom Friday at the open.
Spearman is our liquid love letter to the Alstadt and the cobblestone streets that make up ‘the longest bar in the world.’ A shimmering copper hued ale with the comforting aromas of fresh baked bread and caramel, our take on the Altbier drinks crips and clean with a beautiful balance of malt and hops and a long, dry finish.
Available for just the third time ever and the first time in cans this Friday at the open. Pre-order your case Thursday at 4pm because once you have one, you’ll want 23 more and this small batch beauty won’t be around for long.

12:00 pm • Amber Lager Tapping
Goldfinger Brewing Co., 513 Rogers St., Downers Grove, IL (630) 541-9728 Map
This Friday we will be tapping a new beer: Amber Lager: 5.5% ABV.
Using our Vienna lager as the base recipe, we pitched the thiolized lager strain developed by Omega Yeast . We harvested this yeast from our Polish Pils in order to explore the influence thiols have in a darker and maltier beer. We have always depended on our Czech Saaz hops to balance the malty sweetness of our Vienna lager, so being able to utilize a yeast that enhances existing compounds in those hops was exciting for us. Admittedly, with the development of this new yeast, the predicted fermentation results are equal parts expected and surprising. Nevertheless, the ability to explore uncharted beer territory by way of the four main ingredients, not adjuncts, is what excites us the most. The ability to learn, modify, enhance, and create beers while not compromising the qualities we value in our lagers is how we define the “craft” in beer.
The result of our latest experiment can be succinctly defined as liquid toast with orange marmalade. Notes of citrus dance along the ever present toasted bread qualities of our Vienna malt, resulting in a complex and dry amber lager.
This Friday, you’ll be able to enjoy this beer alongside a brand new food truck Happytimessnackshack who will be ready to satiate you after a few half liters (or liters) of our Amber Lager from 5-8pm.

Beer Under Glass is BACK. This special edition craft beer festival and fundraiser returns to the Garfield Park Conservatory on Friday, August 27th!
Traditionally a cornerstone of Illinois Craft Beer Week, Beer Under Glass was canceled last year out of concern for the health and safety of our member brewers, staff, volunteers, and attendees. With the Chicago economy now fully reopened, we are excited to welcome back our breweries and craft beer fans for this one-of-a-kind experience.
This summer’s special edition Beer Under Glass invites attendees to sample craft beer while enjoying exclusive, after-hours access to the Conservatory. Pours from 70+ statewide breweries will be available during two limited tasting sessions, each with 1,000 attendees to allow for social distancing and a more intimate festival experience. All breweries will be positioned in the outdoor gardens, but the Conservatory’s indoor collections will be available for self-guided tours.
General admission tickets are $75 and available here. There is no VIP ticket or early entry this year, and the festival will continue rain or shine. Food and beverages from some of Chicago’s best local restaurants and food trucks will be available for purchase throughout the gardens.
Now in its 11th year, Beer Under Glass is hosted by the Illinois Craft Brewers Guild (ICBG) and the Garfield Park Conservatory Alliance (GPCA). All proceeds support GPCA’s mission to change lives through the power of nature and connect people to plants, and ICBG’s mission to support and protect the state’s craft beer industry through education, advocacy, and promotion.
We encourage patrons to download your vaccination card on the new immunization portal, Vax Verify, found at A picture copy on a phone will also be accepted.
Additionally, masks will be required in all indoor gardens for all patrons, regardless of vaccination status, unless actively eating or drinking.
