Peaches & Her Release
Sew Hop’d Brewery & Taproom, One Union Special Plaza, Ste. 113, Huntley, IL (815) 701-8819 (Map)
March is Women’s History Month- and we are here to celebrate it. We had the privilege of hosting the Pink Boots Society – Chicago Chapter annual collaboration day, in support of women in the craft beverage industry. And today we got to can it!
Expect Peaches & Her – a Hoppy American Wheat Ale- coming to you on Friday, 3/5, in taprooms across Chicagoland- specifically these taprooms represented by some amazing ladies:
Dovetail Brewery, Skeleton Key, Miskatonic, Rabid Brewing, Church Street, Oswego Brewing Co., More Brewing Co., Brother Chimp, Dry City, Haymarket, & Roaring Table.
We are grateful to know some incredible women in this industry, and even more grateful to have the opportunity to brew a beer with them. Get to the taproom Friday to check it out.

12:00 pm • Off Color Triple Release
Off Color Brewing – Mousetrap, 1460 N. Kingsbury St., Chicago (312) 929-2916 (map)
& Off Color Brewing Bottle Shop, 3925 Dickens, Chicago  (Map)
Polar S’moretex • $24 / 250mL 4-pack • 12.5% abv
A stronger, more robust version of DinoS’mores we only brew during Polar Vortexes to commemorate how miserable we are. Last batch was from January 30, 2019 when the temperature in Chicago dropped to -23F with a wind chill of -52F… it was really, really, really cold and we thought we’d have to flee from ice wolves. This year’s is from when it was only -6F BUT the average temperature for the month made it the coldest February in Chicago on record so we got that going for us? Anyway, Polar S’mortex takes everything we love about DinoS’mores and we intensify it to an almost fudge-like consistency. You can’t quite set it on fire to stay warm and scare off hungry, glowing eyes in the winter dark, but we did what we could. Off Color Exclusive.
Returning this week, Blackberry Fox in the Snow. $16 / 250mL 4-pack • 8.4% abv
Fox in the Snow is our foedre aged kriek. But for this version we wanted to change things up a little replacing cherries with blackberries. (Does that make it a blackberry kriek? Not really sure of the nomenclature) Whatever you call it, 10 months in our Italian Barolo foedre and a further two aging on blackberries lends an auburn hue, vibrant fruit, and tannic, seedlike profile. Pleasantly in tandem is a wild complexity, balanced acidity and round, deep vinous notes from the foedre itself.
Cognac Blackberry Fox in the Snow • $14 / 375mL Bottle • 8.9% abv
A single barrel of Blackberry Fox in the Snow first aged in one of our Barolo wine foedres was then re-fermented with blackberries and was then further aged an additional 12 months in a proper, imported French VSOP cognac barrel. (Very Superior Old Pale so you don’t have to look it up.) The blackberry candy-like essence from Blackberry Fox takes on classic cognac pomp and splendor with layered tones of toffee, plum, and dried apricot. A rarified barrel treatment for only the most regal woodland creatures. Off Color Exclusive.
Pre-order on now. Releases Friday at noon.
