There is one bright spot in the bad beer business news in Chicago. Viking Artisan Ales is opening its own tap room in Merrillville.

In previous years, I was able to pull together a brief list of bars and tap rooms that were open on Christmas Day. I have not found any of them with a Christmas schedule; no surprise; but if you run a place that will have Christmas Day hours, or curbside pickup, please do let me know.

And don't forget to check your nearby places for possible dinner packages. Some are also opening up mug club memberships for 2021, which would make a great Christmas gift for yourself or a friend.
