I’ve left one event off this list because it’s all sold out: The last bottle release for Goose Island’s King Henry barleywine beer, which had been aged in Pappy van Winkle barrels previous used to age Bourbon County Stout. Tickets immediately sold out for the price of $200, which would get the attendee a 650 ml bottle of King Henry to take home, plus several 5 oz. pours of other Goose Bourbon County Brand barleywines. Sure, if you think you can score tickets, it’s at the 1800 W. Fulton taproom, Monday the 24th, 7 to 10 pm. More details at Brown Paper Tickets. Even Goose Island’s websites and Facebook page don’t list this anymore. Because, I guess, why bother?
