Chicago Festival of Barrel Aged Beer Weekend, November 16-18

Chicago Festival of Barrel Aged Beer Weekend, November 16-18
FoBAB medal

I have definitely got-ta, got-ta get ahead of my schedule because there are events pouring in around this weekend’s FoBAB, and the Black Wednesday/Friday launch for Bourbon County Stout. So believe me when I say, you need to check back in, because I am adding more events every day. And even if you can’t get in on those sold-out FoBAB sessions, there is a lot of barrel-aged beer being poured across the Chicago area!

Hey, it’d sure be nice if I could post notice about advance bottle sales when they start, instead of when the bottles go out, and are all spoken for. So here: Side Lot Brewery is now taking pre-orders for their Distinguished Gentleman Barrel Aged Russian Imperial Stout (12.5% ABV), and  Sultry Sue Barrel Aged Belgian Quad (12.4% ABV). Both are being sold in 750 ml bottles, corked, numbered and dipped in wax. Prices are $25 each, or $40 for both, through Eventbrite until December 14. Pick-up will be at the brewery in Wauconda December 15 at noon.
