Forbidden Root, Chicago’s own botanic brewing company and brewpub in West Town, is excited to launch lunch from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. The menu, created by executive chef Dan Weiland, is a lighter take on the brewpub’s dinner menu including Bar Snacks like Jerky, Beer Cheese with Ritz Crackers and Kimchi Dill Lime Potato Chips; Burrata with strawberries, balsamic, malt streusel, toast; Forbidden Root Burger with giardiniere mayo, weiss aged cheddar, B&B pickle on a brioche bun; Mushroom Grilled Cheese on Texas toast; and Desserts like a Forbidden Root Float.
The kitchen will close at 2 p.m. and reopen at 4 p.m. for dinner service Monday-Saturdays. Beverages will still be available during that time. Limited reservations will be available for lunch at this time.

Revolution Straight Jacket: In November of 2010, we filled 1 Jack Daniels and 1 Heaven Hill Rye Whiskey barrel with our Barleywine (Institutionalized). The combination of these two unique barrels yield a very rich and complex finished product. Deep aromas and flavors of dark stone fruits, bourbon, molasses, toasted coconut and vanilla come in waves as you swirl this beer in the snifter. Future releases, especially the first bottle release saw this offering aged exclusively in Woodford Reserve barrels.

On the morning of 22 March 2016, three coordinated nail bombings occurred in Belgium: two at Brussels Airport in Zaventem, and one at Maalbeek metro station in Brussels. In these attacks, 32 victims were killed and over 300 people were injured. The bombings were the deadliest act of terrorism in Belgium’s history.
Oscare, an organization for burns, scar after-care & research continues to treat victims injured in the attacks.
Starting June 8th until June 30th, every featured beer poured equals $1 dontated to Oscare. Beers included:

In celebration of their 25th anniversary, New Belgium Brewing Co. has teamed up with 5 titans of craft brewing – Firestone Walker Brewing Co., Allagash Brewing Co., Hopworks Urban Brewery, Rhinegeist, and Avery Brewing Co. – to create 5 variations on their flagship brew, Fat Tire, and we are bringing you all 5 collaborations on draught!

June 30th: Allagash – “a version of Fat Tire using a Belgian yeast sourced form the Poperings region and a touch of the Allagash house Brettanomyces – expect notes of Stone fruit, sweet tart and peppercorn”

High Noon Saloon hosts Pipeworks Brewing Co. for a lineup of draft, bottled and canned beers from the acclaimed Chicago craft brewery. Featured beers include: Schlussel Berserker, a limited-release Barleywine-style ale made in collaboration with Local Option Bierwerker; Emerald Grouper, a new imperial IPA brewed with honey, Citra and Mosaic hops; Marilime Law, a double IPA brewed with lime zest and juice; The Roister, a beer brewed with roasted strawberries, grilled rhubarb and lemon balm; Dark Matter Machine, a coffee cream ale brewed with Chicago’s Dark Matter Coffee; Sam vs. Unicorn, an imperial red ale brewed exclusively with American-grown hops; War Bird, a Belgian-inspired ale brewed with Hellertau Blanc and Amarillo hops; Lizard King, an American Pale Ale brewed with Mosaic and Amarillo hops; and Ninja vs. Unicorn, an unfiltered Double IPA brewed with over five pounds of hops per barrel.
Chef Antonio Gonzalez features two specials made with Pipeworks beers for the event: a Ninja vs. Taco, grilled steak (marinated with adobo and Ninja vs. Unicorn) topped with mint cucumber pico de gallo and chile de arbol sauce; and a Taco vs. Unicorn, oven-roasted pork (marinated with Sam vs. Unicorn and achiote) finished with pickled red onions and serrano lime sauce.
There is no cover charge to attend and food and drink are on consumption (beers range from $8-$16 each and food specials are $4 each). The full Tex-Mex menu will also be on offer.
