While we opened on December 24, 2010, our first house beers weren’t ready until January 12th. So on this day, we’ll celebrate 4 years of amazing beers! Starting at noon, we’ll tap some special brews, one every half hour. They’ll be in limited supply, so plan on being here by noon if you want to hang with us and try them all! Our friends Mr. Blotto will be joining us for some fine tunes!

The Duck Inn and Begyle Brewing Co. will be debuting their collaborative beer called You Lika da Juice. It’s an apple ale that is perfect for the season and will be available all day for half off. Chef Kevin and the Begyle brewers will also be on-hand to chat about the new brew and their other collaborations from 5-7pm.

Marz is branded as a “community” brewer because of their deep roots in the Bridgeport neighborhood of Chicago and their diverse local ownership group. This Marz team, including home brewers, professional brewers, artists and retail entrepreneurs, met while frequenting Maria’s Packaged Goods & Community Bar. Heartland Café is excited to continue the fun with Opera On Tap Chicago, the nonprofit group aimed at promoting opera as a viable, living and progressive art form deserving a place on the American cultural landscape. The theme for the January show at Heartland is: Opera on Tap Works Out. Guests can watch their favorite OOT singers work off those holiday calories as they perform opera’s most laborious and arduous numbers. This concert will feature works by Rossini, Donizetti, Bellini, Mozart, Verdi, Argento and more!
This concert is free to the public. At-will donations to benefit Opera on Tap will be taken during the intermission. Grab friends and head over to Heartland Café for a rocking good time!
The drink special includes $3 Founders All Day IPA and a “Let’s Get Physical” cocktail. Trivia will also be held at 9:15 in the Buffalo Bar.
