The Drinking & Writing Brewery’s 8th Annual Beerfly Alleyfight is a pairing of homebrewed beer, home-cooked food, and homegrown art. The Beerfly Alleyfight competition goes one step further than other pairings by adding an artist to the mix. Tickets to the Beerfly Alleyfight are $35.00 online at drinkingandwriting.com or $40.00 at the door if available.
Each beer and food pair will be matched with a Chicago artist who will interpret the pair as they see fit…an interpretive jazz dance to go with a wheat beer and peanut butter and jelly sandwich…just for example, of course.
Throughout the day, the artists will present their pieces in the Beerfly Alleyfight boxing ring. Based on audience votes, awards will be given for Best Beer, Best Food, Best Art, and Best in Show.

Kick off Chicago Craft Beer Week in style. We’re hosting Cased Meats for a Cause, a fundraiser for families impacted by Rett Syndrome. During this event, you’ll get to ingest creative compositions from some of the best sausage makers in the city of Chicago, imbibe some silky suds from the award-winning brewmasters at Revolution Brewing, and indulge in the lyrical musings of some fantastic Chicago- based musicians *Weepin’ Willows* and *Lawrence Peters Outfit* all while supporting local families impacted by Rett Syndrome.
Tickets cost $50 and will include music from local bluegrass and outlaw country bands The Lawrence Peters Outfit and Weepin’ Willows, A full Revolution Brewing lineup, Organic, specialty cased meats from the amazing chefs at Publican Quality Meats, The Butcher & Larder, The Radler, Farm.Butcher.Table, and, of course, Revolution Brewing.
All proceeds benefit the International Rett Syndrome Foundation and the private medical fund of Emmy Foster.

Get Ready For Some Flying Balls at Goose Island Beer Company’s Sunday Funday Event, as the brewer hosts a “Battle of the Breweries” dodgeball tournament. Goose Island is hosting the first event in its new Barrel Warehouse. The “Battle of the Breweries” dodgeball tournament, food trucks, live music, mini golf and other activities. This event will allow fans to have the opportunity to get a first look at the new barrel warehouse, which will be home to some of Goose Island’s most popular barrel aged beers such as Bourbon County Stout, Madame Rose, Halia, Juliet, Sofie, among others.
A total of sixteen teams comprised of members from local Chicago breweries will play against teams from other breweries. Servings of specialty Goose Island beers such as The Ogden, Madame Rose and Bourbon County Stout variants will be available.
