Take a tour of Wrigley Field

Last week I embraced my inner tourist. I took my first EVER tour of the historic and beautiful Wrigley Field. While I knew most of the history our tour guide so energetically rattled off, the thing that blew me away more than anything else was the emptiness of the ballpark. It absolutely took my breath away!

There weren’t fans bumping into you left and right, not a single blade of grass was out of place, and there was almost a calming haze over the park. In fact most people were silent for most of the tour. I assume they were mesmerized by everything the Friendly Confines has to offer. The upper deck left me in awe of the beautiful views of Lake Michigan, the John Hancock building poked out just behind the right field corner, with the scoreboard bare for the first time in my life.

For anyone pondering the idea of touring the facilities, checking out the newest additions, or simply looking for an awesome gift this mothers/fathers day, I highly recommend it. You will not be disappointed.
