Looking for Love: The Anti-Cruelty Society Cat & Dog of the Week

LadyLady

9-year-old chow chow/retriever mix

Lady is just that: a nice older lady looking for a quiet, loving home. She’s mild-mannered, gentle and does not require much in the way of exercise or entertainment. Nice long walks, soft pets and a plush toy are what she needs; that and some tasty wet food. She knows a few cues already (including giving a lovely paw) and it’s never too late to teach any dog some new tricks, such as ‘leave it’ or ‘drop it’ (she’s mildly possessive over her toys; she gives them up, but it is always good to put it on cue). Lady is an easy-going gal and would be ideal for first time dog owners looking for a loving companion.

 Ellie May

3-year-old domestic shorthair

Please meet Ellie May! A sweet and gentle girl, Ellie May came to the shelter when her owner could no longer care for her. EllieEllieMay May is a shy little lady who is still getting acclimated to the busy adoption room. Ellie May has a severely scarred right eye which has left her visually impaired in that eye. A nice little girl who is looking for a quiet place to call home, Ellie May is pretty special — she is looking for someone just as special. Stop by and say hello.
The Anti-Cruelty Society is located at 510 N LaSalle, Chicago, IL 60654.
