Faith + Science = The Final Frontier

Here’s a personal question. When you lie on your back and study the afternoon clouds or the evening moon, do you sense more than your senses are reporting? Maybe little hints of angels, shapes of spirits, even an apparition or two? Well if you do, your biology textbooks disagree…!

Neurobiology reports that for most of human history Faith has held sway over us. It’s been our evolutionary need to believe we come from somewhere or someone intentional…we’re here for a reason not an accident….and we’ll be more than just decomposing rot at the end of it all. But now these same biologists have started to re-direct our attentions from imagined things above that can’t be proved, to anatomical things here below that can.

So what’s happened…?

In recent years we’ve being advised that at last there is a dependable new way to free our intellects from the ancient mysteries of primitive gods and idols. From now on, what we once talked about as mysteries can actually be defined for what they really are. Problems. Problems the biological sciences can in time solve for us.

And yet, what’s happened is Science, instead of becoming a companion to Faith in the search for answers, has often become its competitor. This competition appears everywhere. On campuses and in literature. Mostly in movies where Avengers, ET’s, vampires, exorcists, and Vatican conspiracies seem to fuel the rivalry between the Faith of our Fathers and now the Science of their children.

How interesting two of the greats from both Faith and Science tend to disagree with such rivalry. John Paul II: “Faith and reason are the two wings of the dove both needed to support its flight to the peaks of truth.” Albert Einstein: “Science with out religion is lame; religion without science is blind.”

Almost sounds like Captain Kirk’s heart saying to Mr Spock’s brain: “Warp speed…..!”

  • I would suggest that the 'Final Frontier' has already been crossed! But not in a manner anyone expected . For what science and religion thought impossible has now happened. History has its first literal, testable and fully demonstrable proof for faith.

The first wholly new interpretation for two thousand years of the moral teachings of Christ is published on the web. Radically different from anything else we know of from history, this new teaching is predicated upon a precise, predefined and predictable experience and called 'the first Resurrection' in the sense that the Resurrection of Jesus was intended to demonstrate Gods' willingness to real Himself and intervene directly into the natural world for those obedient to His will, paving the way for access, by faith, to the power of divine transcendence. Ultimate proof!

Thus 'faith' becomes an act of trust in action, to search and discover this direct individual intervention into the natural world by omnipotent power that confirms divine will, law, command and covenant, which at the same time, realigns our moral compass with the Divine, "correcting human nature by a change in natural law, altering biology, consciousness and human ethical perception beyond all natural evolutionary boundaries." So like it or no, a new religious teaching, testable by faith, meeting all Enlightenment criteria of evidence based causation and definitive proof now exists. Nothing short of an intellectual, moral and religious revolution is getting under way. To test or not to test, that is the question? More info at http://www.energon.org.uk,
