An award-winning fine art photographer, Angie’s work has been internationally exhibited and published. Mabél Guzmán is a REALTOR ® for more than 20 years, Mabel is a broker at @properties, Chicago’s top real estate brokerage. She is a Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS), an Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR), and has completed her At Home with Diversity (AHWD) certification. She was appointed as President's Liaison to Brazil for National Association of REALTORS, and one of NAR's oldest bilateral agreements in Global Real Estate; there are 87 bilateral agreements in 66 countries.

Housing advocacy and public policy are Mabel’s passions. At the national level, Mabel served as the 2014 Chair for NAR’s Conventional Finance & Policy Committee, where she testified on behalf of NAR’s more than one million members before the U.S. Senate Subcommittee on Urban Affairs and Banking on "Inequality and Opportunity in the Housing Market". She was selected by 2015 NAR President Chris Polychron to be on the Enlarged Leadership Team as the Liaison for Global Committees. Most recently, Mabel chaired the Student Loan Debt Working Group, from 2014 to 2016, studying the impact of student loan debt on housing. Her passion for public Policy was also evident at the local level where she was one of the driving forces behind City of Chicago efforts to implement the federal Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP), by crafting the Request for Proposal (RFP) through which 40 REALTORS® were hired to acquire foreclosed properties in 25 targeted areas. Also an advocate of fair tax policies, Mabél worked with the City of Chicago to ensure that more than 30,000 city homeowners had the opportunity to file tax appeals. She also participated in Illinois Association of REALTORS® Condo working group in creation of HB 2664 to set a bright line on foreclosed condo fees, tax education initiative for consumers and update housing policy.

Mabel is a member of the Illinois REALTORS ® . In 2016, she chaired the REALTOR ® Political Involvement Committee and in 2014 she oversaw the Public Policy and Government Affairs Member Involvement Group where she lead an initiative that produced home owner education on how to understand property taxes. Mabel has served as a member of Illinois’ Board of Directors from 2009-2011. In 2014 and 2015, she received the Illinois REALTORS ® President’s Medallion for Outstanding Service.

Mabel is a proud member of the Chicago Association of REALTORS ® and served as its Treasurer in 2009 and President in 2011. She was a member of the Board of Directors from 2007 to 2009. In 2012, the Chicago Association of REALTORS ® named Mabel their REALTOR ® of the Year.

Mabel cares deeply about the city of Chicago. She is a trustee of the First United Methodist Church at Chicago Temple, the city’s oldest church, founded in 1831 and a volunteer with the Homeless Ministry where she cooks for over 125+ of homeless citizens. She is on the Chicago Ambassador Board for One Hope United, a 120 year old organization that provides early childhood development for at risk children and community-based family services.

She is equally committed to her profession. She is a longtime member of the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals (NAHREP). The Women’s Council of REALTORS (WCR) of Chicago named her their 2009 Member of the Year.
