The fine folks at Webster Wine Bar really know what Bastille Day is all about…the love of champagne that wonderful gift from our friends in France. This Sunday, with some assistance from Henriot they will be throwing an all day party in celebration of Bastille Day and all things French. Sunday, July 14th, from 1-8pm.
The celebration includes:
· Live music from Hot Club Thing (swing music) and DJ South of Roosevelt (dance/funk music) all day
· French cheese bar, charcuterie and baguette sandwiches
· Blind French wine tasting contest with Jeremy Quinn
· Free Petanque tournament
Suggested donations are between $5-25. Proceeds from the day’s events will benefit two local non-profit organizations: Working Bikes and Big City Mountaineers. Working Bikes recycles used bikes and donates them to individuals and communities in need. Big City Mountaineers transforms the lives of troubled Chicago youth through wilderness mentoring expeditions.
A sign up form for the event and wine tastings is available online at: www.wwbbastilleday.eventbrite.com.
