Glen Ellyn Winestyles Becomes A Hub of Local Activity

Winestyles in Glen Ellyn has become quite a neighborhood staple in the quite Western burb.   Husband and Wife owners William and Kim Dozier keep things lively with free wine tastings, wine of the month pickup parties and surprises.   A recent visit on a Saturday to pick up wine led to an hour long tasting and of course, more wine purchases!  But people truly love the store, they visit they chat they stay. What you want in your neighborhood wine bar/store.

The store stays very active with after hours wine tasting fundraisers. This weekend is not different as I have the pleasure of teaming with them to support and raise awareness for Habitat for Humanity of Illinois with out semi monthly “Pour” wine tasting series.

A fundraiser for Habitat for Humanity of Illinois includes wine flights, foods and prize giveaways. Learn about this great charity and what it’s doing throughout the state of Illinois. The event will take place Saturday September 24th at 7PM at WineStyles, 715 Roosevelt Rd., Glen Ellyn, IL.

Guests receive an education in a particular selection of wines, food pairings and a chance to win a cruise vacation for two. A portion of the proceeds will support of Habitat for Humanity of Illinois.

About Habitat for Humanity of Illinois

Habitat for Humanity of Illinois partners with the 51 Habitat affiliates in Illinois, building and repairing homes with limited-income families, who currently live in sub-standard housing and need safe, decent, affordable housing. The need is greater now than ever.

Approximately 100 Habitat houses are built annually in Illinois. After investing 500 sweat equity hours working side-by-side volunteers, a Habitat family buys their house with a zero-interest Habitat loan, leaving deplorable living conditions behind and becoming homeowners, often for the first time.

Habitat for Humanity of Illinois is committed to eradicating poverty housing, improving people’s lives, and fortifying Illinois communities.
