Chalk this one up as a lesson learned, folks. Over the weekend I strolled Times Square and happened upon a caricature artist. His stand was decorated with STUNNING depictions of celebrities and everyday folks and for a mere $5, he offered to sketch me as well.
“$5, and you pay now,” he said politely, and I did and I was told. I sat there quietly for 15 minutes, as the artist studied my face, made small talk and sketched his heart out. When he handed me the drawing I laughed so hard that passersby slowed down to see what the commotion was about. And, well, the photos tell the rest of the story.
Next time someone offers to sketch your portrait, NEVER pay upfront! LOL. Follow Zondra Hughes on Twitter @ZondraHughes
