By Dawgelene “Dr Dawj” Sangster- I have always been and always will be an advocate for marriage. While I am still new to this widow journey and miss my husband daily, it does not diminish my desire to be a wife again one day to a well deserving King that God allows to find me. Yes, I do believe that, “he who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favour from the Lord”. However, I won’t rush my healing and will embrace this journey until the time comes.
While I take this solo journey right now, I still love to attend weddings, celebrate engagements and see marriages thrive and survive. I was so delighted to be given exclusive media access to attend Chicago’s own Windy City Live co-host, Val Warner, and her longtime love Jeff Cartwright’s engagement party recently at the posh penthouse suite at Hotel 71.
I had an amazing time and watched the lovebirds connect in amazing ways as they danced their way through the crowd to the tunes of DJ Vince Adams,
and enjoyed each other and supporters, which included many of Chicago’e elite crowd.
The décor by Debi Lilly of A Perfect Event was beautiful with donut and ice cream carts,
popcorn table, and cupcake table and photo booth.
We wish them much success in their future marriage.
Check out the pictures below and enjoy!
