It seems like the holidays are here today and gone tomorrow. With so much to do in Chicago, your intentions may have been good but time got in the way. Lucky for us, many of the top attractions have been extended into January.
This relatively quiet week, while many kids are still home for Winter Break, is the perfect time to catch up on some of those events that you may have missed.
ZooLights (through Jan. 5)
Christmas Around the World and Holidays of Light (through Jan. 5)
Lightscape at Chicago Botanic Garden (through Jan. 5) Please note: Tickets are very limited.
Illumination at Morton Arboretum (through Jan. 5)
- 2019 marks the debut of Tree Fascination! A mixture of art and science, this experience uses video projection to showcase the beauty and form of trees using color and pattern.
- A new route and expanded pathway and promenade will allow visitors to enjoy the displays at their own pace. Illuminated words such as “Champion,” “Tree” and “Breathe” will guide and inspire visitors.
Hamilton — Broadway in Chicago (through Jan. 5)
Chicago Architecture Biennial (through Jan. 5)
Winter WonderFest at Navy Pier (through Jan. 12)
