Three Chicago Hotels named in top 10 in USA
The Lobby in the Peninsula Hotel--named #2 best hotel in the country

U.S. News & World Report today released its 2019 Best Hotel Rankings with The Peninsula Chicago and Four Seasons Hotel Chicago being named among the top five in the country.

The U.S. News rankings are based on each hotel’s industry awards, its star rating (both 5-stars) and guest reviews.

Across the USA the top five selections were: Four Seasons Resort Hualalai in Hawaii (no. 1); The Peninsula Chicago (No. 2), the Four Seasons Hotel at The Surf Club, Surfside, Fla. (No. 3), Four Seasons Resort Lanai (No. 4) and the Four Seasons Hotel Chicago (No. 5).

The Langham Chicago made it into the top ten at #7. Impressive but a bit of a letdown compared to 2017 when they were #1 and 2018 when they came in third.

There were a lot of Four Seasons among the top rankings not just in the US but around the world. So when in doubt, you probably can’t go wrong if you book a room at any Four Season’s Hotels–but the rooms don’t come cheap.

The least expensive room at the Four Seasons Resort Hualalao in Hawaii for tomorrow night is $949; whereas you could book a room at the Peninsula Chicago for tomorrow night at $399 or Four seasons Hotel Chicago for $355.

If you don’t want to spend $399 for a room at the Peninsula Chicago, you can check out The Lobby’s prix fixe menus for  Chicago Restaurant Week (extended through February 12).

You can get a 3-course prix fixe lunch for $24. Diners can choose from two starters, three entrees and two desserts. The Lobby is also offering a special prix fixe dinner menu for $48. (108 E. Superior).
