City Winery has got you covered

There’s hope, maybe even a cure, for your cabin fever. City Winery is bringing a taste of spring to Chicago’s Riverwalk with their River Domes.

River Domes, which debuted at City Winery’s Riverwalk location last summer (Chicago River between Dearborn and State Streets, 11 W. Riverwalk South), are private climate-controlled shelters, where you can get a jump on spring by sipping wine in the great ‘outdoors’ with friends while viewing the river and the city skyline.

The domes, an idea taken from the bars and restaurants in London along the Thames River, will be open daily March 20 through May 6 (11 am. to 9 pm.). Dome reservations are now open here.

River Dome reservations last two and a half hours and are $85 per person which includes a $60 food and beverage minimum spend.

Each dome comes equipped with a Bluetooth speaker, a heater and comfy seating. The domes come in two sizes: small to accommodate groups of two to eight people and large to accommodate groups up to 14 guests.

The full service City Winery’s spring Riverwalk menu will be available with starters including salads and sandwiches from the restaurant’s small-plate sharing-and-pairing concept plus items unique to the Riverwalk such as house-made tap wines, beer and cocktails.

There will be four small domes and two large domes available during the preseason. All River Domes can remain partially open or be closed completely to shield against unpredictable spring weather.

Those who don’t want to pay extra for the domes will be able to take advantage of full service on the Riverwalk from City Winery’s spring food and drink menu from March 20 to May 6 from 11 am – 9 pm, based on weather conditions.

St. Patrick’s Day

No matter the weather, City Winery promises to be open at its Riverwalk location on Saturday, March 17 from 9 am. to 2 pm. during the City’s St. Patrick’s Day parade and river dying celebration–a perfect vantage point to view the green river.
