A peek inside the National Restaurant Association & BAR show

The 2017 National Restaurant Association Restaurant, Hotel-Motel Show® (NRA) and the BAR, Beverage Alcohol for Restaurants show were in Chicago this week from Saturday, May 20-Tuesday, May 23 (BAR show Sunday and Monday).

The NRA is the most comprehensive trade show for the restaurant, foodservice and hospitality industry in the U.S. and abroad.

The BAR show features the latest in wine, spirits, and beer through tastings, pairings, seminars and more.

The show, held in McCormick Place is a marathon. With over 2,300 exhibitors, the exhibits span the North Hall, the South Hall and the Lakeview Center. Walking more than 5 miles a day is a given–over the 4 day run of the show that easily adds up to 26.2 miles–a marathon.

The trade show, not open to the public, draws a crowd–67,000+ foodservice professionals from around the globe.

It measures the pulse of the food world through an impressive mashup of meetings, seminars, new products, restaurant technology, kitchen gadgets, industry leaders, celebrity chefs, parties and so much more.
