The highly anticipated Broadway In Chicago Summer Concert at Millennium Park showcasing music, stars and dance performances from some of Broadway’s hottest shows will take place Monday, August 15 at 6:15 pm.
Just added to the already announced star-studded line-up is STEPHEN TRASK, composer and lyricist of HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH and cast members from Rodgers & Hammerstein’s THE KING AND I; the completely original new musical comedy SOMETHING ROTTEN! and STOMP.
In addition, the audience will see performances from Disney’s ALADDIN; BEAUTIFUL–THE CAROLE KING MUSICAL; THE BODYGUARD featuring Grammy® Award-nominee and R&B superstar DEBORAH COX; FINDING NEVERLAND, 2015 Tony Award®-Winning Best Musical; FUN HOME and Cameron Mackintosh’s brand new production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA.
This year’s concert in Jay Pritzker Pavilion will once again be hosted by ABC 7 Chicago’s entertainment reporter and host of the lifestyle program 190 NORTH on ABC 7, Janet Davies.
Come early if you want a seat in the pavilion, otherwise bring a blanket and make yourself comfortable in the large grassy area surrounding the pavilion as lawn and pavilion seating is first come, first served.
The 2016 Broadway in Chicago Summer Concert is presented in collaboration with the City of Chicago’s Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events as part of Millennium Park Presents.
