Dylan Lauren, creator of Dylan’s Candy Bar, was in town over the holidays to check out her Chicago store. Already being a fan of her Mag Mile candy shop, Dylan’s Candy Bar (445 N. Michigan Avenue) and her father, Ralph Lauren’s clothing line, restaurants and home decor, I wanted to learn more about Dylan, the person.
One thing about Dylan, you notice right away, she is all about color from her wardrobe to her stores to her effervescent lifestyle. Even her nine month old twins, Kingsley Rainbow and Cooper Blue, who she calls the Twinkies, reflect her passion for color.
Here’s what I learned when I met with Dylan in her colorful party room on the the 2nd floor of her Mag Mile store.
