Get your bibs ready for the 2nd annual Great American Lobster Fest rolling into Navy Pier this weekend with live music, live lobster, libations and more from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. both days.
The “Maine” event is lobster. There’s lobster rolls, lobster mac & cheese, lobster tacos, Surf & Turf, lobster bisque, lobster on a stick and live lobster flown in from Boston provided by Chicago’s New England Seafood Company Restaurant & Fish Market (3341 N Lincoln Avenue).
Not a lobster lover? No worries, there’s Italian beef, sausages, and hot dogs—hopefully no ketchup—along with veggie options.
Sides include corn on the cob, baked potatoes and French fries.
There’s also carnival games, a rock climbing wall, fireworks, Goose Island Beer, family activities and craft vendors along with the Blue Angels flying above (it’s Air and Water show weekend, in case you hadn’t heard).
The entertainment scene features Bob Marley’s The Original Wailers who will headline both Saturday (8:30 p.m.) and Sunday (7:15 p.m.) nights plus Train Company, Honey & The 45s, Band Called Catch, Gregg & F.R.I.E.N.D.S, Leaders of the Pack, Burnside & Hooker, The Future Laureates, Howard & The White Boys, Madpolecats, Sean Burns, Stephen Carey, Diego Sol & Metronomes, and Cowboy Jukebox.
