The Taste of Chicago is shaking things up this year by offering a broad range of food and entertainment experiences for all tastes.
At yesterday’s press preview at Alpana Singh’s Boarding House restaurant, an enthusiastic Mayor Emanuel praised the city’s food scene by calling Chicago the Culinary Capital of the World.
This year’s Taste will be showcasing Chicago’s emerging presence as a world-class food destination with an exciting line-up of chefs, restaurants and cooking demos.
The Celebrity Chef du Jour program is kicking things up another notch for 2015 by spotlighting Chicago’s impressive stable of James Beard nominated and winning chefs.
The celebrity chefs will be preparing sit-down, three-course meals served in an air-conditioned and decorated dining pavilion for only $45 per person.
Tickets, required for the gourmet dinners, go on sale at the Taste website at 10 a.m. Friday, May 29. The tickets, which are expected to go fast, will be limited to four per order.
