The first-ever Food Network in Concert comes to Ravinia Festival for a full day of eating, drinking and rocking with more than 50 of the country’s top chefs plus headline performers including seven-time Grammy winner John Mayer on Saturday, September 20th.
The pairing of food, wine and music make this early fall festival the perfect combination for exploring the beautiful Ravinia landscape while indulging in exciting food and wine offerings. Celebrity chefs will be serving up some of their “biggest hits” while performers will be doing the same.
Big name celebrity chefs from the Food Network that will be on hand for the festival include: Sunny Anderson, Anne Burrell, Jose Garces, Alex Guarnaschelli, Jeff Mauro, Marc Murphy, and Geoffrey Zakarian.

Although the menus have not all been confirmed, New York-based chef Michael Psilakis (Kefi and FISHTAG and others) who’s Greek cuisine has become the latest trend in the Big Apple may just give “Sandwich King,” and Chicago native Jeff Mauro a run for the money with his Gyro combo that is featured in the August 2014 issue of Men’s Health.
Wine and spirit aficionados should be in good spirits with sommelier Alpana Singh (Boarding House) overseeing the 100+ wineries represented at the fest while celebrated mixologist Paul McGee (Three Dots and a Dash) will be charge of some imaginative drink offerings.
Some like it hot…and hot is what they’ll get with Rock ‘N’ Rolls’ HOT HOT HOT! sandwiches–promising “the spiciest of tastes from around the world.”
When your sweet tooth starts acting up you’ll want some candy. Candy and lots more is what you’ll get at “I Want Candy”– a dessert bar hosted by Food Network’s Anne Burrell along with 15 pastry chefs from across the country.
BBQ fans won’t be disappointed with an entire area devoted to the best in q’s at the BBQ extravaganza’s Country Cookout.
Locals will want to stop by the Farm to Turntable for fresh, locally sourced, farm-to-table dishes.
The entertainment menu sounds to be in perfect pitch with performances throughout the park. In addition to Mayer, guests will be treated to music from Twin Forks and jazz musician Raul Midón, and more.
