
Who’s says you have to wait until the weekend to celebrate summer fun. Here are four summer specials to enjoy before the leaves start to fall.
Taco Tuesday at Bub City
Pig out at Bub City with their Tuesday specials including smoked pork tacos ($12.95) with Chipotle-rubbed Heritage pork shoulder that is smoked over hickory for nine hours, pulled and tossed with chipotle purée. The meat is then nestled in four crispy corn taco shells, topped with lettuce, sour cream, avocado pico, green onions, sliced jalapeños and fresh cilantro, and served alongside charred tomato salsa, fresh guacamole and Bub City’s famous refried black beans. Rush Hour Concerts at St. James Cathedral
The 14th annual Summer Concert Series continues at Rush Hour Concerts. Every Tuesday evening through August, enjoy chamber music spanning 700 years performed by world-class artists and ensembles. Admission is completely free and open to audiences of all ages. A free pre-concert reception with the evening’s artists begins at 5:15 p.m. followed by a 30-minute concert at 5:45 p.m. in historic St. James Cathedral in downtown Chicago. 65 E. Huron
Outdoor movies at Millennium Park
The popular Tuesday evening film series continues tonight and every Tuesday evening at 6:30 p.m. through August 20. The films are presented on the latest and most sophisticated outdoor screen with sound projected from the Pavilion’s state-of-the-art sound system. Sit on the lawn or Millennium Park’s Jay Pritzker Pavilion. Tonight’s film: An oldie but goodie “Singin’ in the Rain”.
Chicago Sister Cities International Festival at Daley Plaza
Enjoy ethnic food, merchandise and entertainment from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. today through Friday at the 8th annual Chicago Sister Cities Fest on Daley Plaza. Washington and Dearborn.
