Zoovies at the Zoo

New this year is Lincoln Park Zoo’s free outdoor film series “Zoovies” kicking off Tuesday June 18 on the zoo’s South Lawn overlooking the Swan Pond. Here’s the season schedule: Clueless (June 18), Raiders of the Lost Ark (July 16), and Zoolander (August 13). 7 p.m.-10:30 p.m.

Tickets can be purchased in advance for $24 for adults and $13 for children 12 and under at the zoo’s Gateway Pavilion, online or by phone at 312-742-2283.  Plan to arrive early for the best seats.

Twilight Safari

Twilight Safari, an after hours adventure at the zoo, offers a guided tour of the zoo with a horticulturist and an animal expert. See the gardens, the animals and observe zoo residents like the big cats who become most active at dusk.  Tours are offered: June 26, July 24, August 28, or September 25. Twilight Safari is appropriate for ages 16 and up and is $13 ($10 for zoo members). 6-7:30 p.m.
