Chicago, Wednesday, November 30, 2011. A unique shopping opportunity awaits visitors to the 11th annual One of a Kind Show at Chicago’s Merchandise Mart kicking off at noon tomorrow through Sunday, December 4, 2011. Over 600 artists will be exhibiting hand-made, one-of-a-kind items in a range of categories and price points including accessories, ceramics, fashion, fiber art, furniture, glass, gourmet, holiday, jewelry, kids, metal, mixed media, paintings, photography, sculpture and wood. In addition visitors will be treated to live entertainment and music throughout the show as well as gourmet foods and edible art available for purchase. Fashion Shows on the Fashion District Stage. Experience art on the runway with live fashion shows featuring chic, artist-designed clothing, jewelry and accessories. Thursday, 7pm; Friday, 1pm and 7pm; Saturday and Sunday at 1pm.

The Merchandise Mart’s Fashion Director Susan Glick will hand pick a number of artists to share some of their favorite items they’ve brought to this year’s show. Saturday and Sunday at noon.
Artist Talks. Meet some of the One of a Kind artists and learn the stories behind their eclectic handmade work at these special 20-minute presentations.

The Gourmet Gallery features edible art on the Southwest Side of the Show Floor. Gourmet artisans will be selling a range of specialty items including dips, sauces, confections and baked goods.
Etsy Artist Pavilion on the Southeast Side of the Show Floor. Stop by the Etsy booth at the Etsy NewArtists Pavilion to explore the talented artists and crafters who are part of the online marketplace plus a chance to win an Etsy.com shopping spree, or if you want to get crafty yourself, stay and make a handmade holiday ornament of your very own.
Special Sections on the Fashion District on the Southeast Side of the Show Floor. This fashion-oriented area features trendsetting artists and designers whose work includes contemporary clothing, jewelry and accessories. Artists include such notable designers as: Killion, Chicago IL; Model-29, Chicago IL; Sew Cool, Wilmington, IL; Selma Karaca, Brooklyn, NY; Margo Petitti, Providence, RI; and Angelica Cammarota, Sleepy Hollow, NY.
