The Game Launches It's Popular Walking Tour in Chicago.

Thursday, August 11, 2011. Starting today, Chicagoans can play “The Game”, thanks to Stray Boots Scavenger Hunts which is launching their successful walking tour format in the Windy City. “The Game” offers individuals and groups a unique interactive way to tour the city through text messages sent to your cell phone.  Already up and running in NYC, Boston, Philly, DC, Vegas, and San Francisco, the goal is to discover the city in a new way and have fun.

The Chicago Game will offer 3 different game zones from which to choose: Navy Pier, The Loop and the Magnificent Mile.  Each tour costs $12 and takes from 2 to 3 hours to complete.

How to get into The Game:
Participants enroll on a scavenger hunt tour by visiting Stray Boots Scavenger Hunts and purchasing a ticket. Once payment is confirmed, a message is sent to the user’s email address with an activation code and the tour’s start location. When you are ready to play just text it to the phone number in the email.  You will receive text-message prompts including riddles, puzzles, photo opps and trivia challenges to points of interest along the tour’s route. Each user response in the journey garners them points, making it possible to compete between groups of friends, family members, or pre-assigned teams.

Who Can Play The Game:
“The Game” can be played by individuals, families, couples, at corporate outings, birthday parties, tour groups and more.
