Looking for something different for a holiday outing? The Nutcracker, at the Noble Horse
Theatre, is a holiday treat for the whole family. The narrated story is performed live on horseback as it was done 175 years ago. The show features the beloved Clara, The Mouse King, The Sugar Plum Fairy, Tchaikovsky’s unforgettable music, trick riders from around the world, fairies on horseback, toy soldiers battling the mouse army, and stunning white stallions.
Feed and Ride the Horses.
At the end of every show, meet all of the horses and riders as they line up at the front row. Guests may bring carrots to feed the horses. A ride on one of the fabulous horses is only $5.
Tickets for matinee and evening performances are $30 for adults and $22 for children 12 and under. Group rates are available. Call 312-266-7878 (the box office is open 9-5 on weekdays) or visit the Noble Horse Theatre site. Limited parking is available. Performances run through January 2, 2011.
Shows last approximately 60 minutes for matinee performances and 75 minutes for the evening shows.
Dinner is optional for the evening shows with your choice of chicken or vegetarian pasta. 4-course meals include salad/roll, potato, vegetable, dessert. BYOB. Show and dinner: Adults $40, children 12 and under $28. OR you are welcome to BYOF (bring your own food) into the theatre.
About the Noble Horse Theatre.
The Noble Horse Theatre is located at 1410 N. Orleans St. in Chicago. The climate-controlled theatre seats 300 and is handicap accessible. There is tiered seating with no obstructions in the line of sight so every seat is a good seat.
